As some of you already know I have had to travel mentally considerably "outside the box" to get from conventional medical training to my current interest in alternative electromedicine. But the box I left behind is not God's box, just the received approximation in current circulation. I have never lost my faith that true science is essentially a technique for achieving rapport with the mind of God, an idea by the way that is neither original nor particularly modern. But science itself, real science, is a highly recursive and self-evolutionary process. I see this process very much alive as I listen to discussions on the rife list. Something very profound in the nature of things is being uncovered in alternative electromedicine. As it unfolds, it will change not only the way health care is delivered, but ultimately our collective view of the nature of reality. I am grateful to be alive at this moment, and honored to be participating in the discussion with you.
I want to suggest that it might be fruitful to keep in mind the possibility that the definite empirical benefits observed by practitioners may not all be occurring by a single mechanism. More specifically I propose to keep in mind the possibility that several possible mechanisms of action are possible, and that the greatest benefits may occur when the several modes operate together in concert. My non-comprehensive and not intended to be authoritative list includes:
1: Effects due to frequency specific molecular disruption (resonance) of critical molecular or macromolecular components of pathogens (e.g. viral protein conformational change, resonance driven changes in enzyme activity, resonance driven changes in molecular receptor binding constants, electroporation)
2: Effects due to disruption of non-chemical (i.e. electromagnetic) dimensions of intracellular or intercellular communication in pathogens or pathogen infected cells. This effect relies on the unproven possibility that there is an as yet relatively uncharacterized electro-cybernetic dimension of cellular metabolism, i.e. that DNA and protein molecules can function as electrochemical transducers, and that such transduction plays a significant role in normal cellular, tissue, or whole organismic physiology.
3: Effects due to the restoration, enhancement, or correction of distortion in the intra and inter cellular communications mentioned item 2, in such a way as to move the overall system toward greater functional coherence.
4: Effects due to the action of electromagnetic frequencies on lymphatic ducts in such a way as to foster more efficient transport of toxins from tissues.
5: Effects due to enhancement of specific molecular pathways of cellular and hepatic detoxification as for example due to resonance with cytochrome P 450 enzyme systems.
6: Effects due to resonance with specific toxic macromolecules resulting in decreased retention in the tissue matix and facilitation of somatic detoxification.
7: Effects due to resonance with krebs cycle enzymes, hemoglobin oxygen transport, or mitochondrial enzymes either globally or differentially among various cell and tissue populations.
8: Effects due to resonance with broad and enduring patterns of somatic electrical activity coupled to broad and enduring patterns of regional sympathetic versus parasympathetic nervous system activation.
9: Effects due to resonance with broad and enduring patterns of somatic electrical activity coupled to broad and enduring patterns of cortico-limbic equillibrium (i.e. emotions)
10: Effects due to electro resonant "tuning" of critical biological oscillatory circuits (e.g. circadian rythms) in the hypothalamus.
11: Effects due to the entrainment of the belief system of the individual, leading to restoration of optimism and hope, a sense of purpose, restoration of locus of control, acquisition or recovery of the capacity for positive visualization, enhancement of human connectedness, recovery or deepening of spiritual connectedness.
12: Effects due to the entrainment of the intentionality of the healer, or of the healing community.
